C.Melleri is one of the largest known chameleons with sizes reaching over two
feet. They are native to Savannas of southern Kenya,
southwestern Malawi and Tanzania. They prefer hot tropical climates. When gravid they usually
lay 18 to 50 eggs once a year. They do well on a varied diet of crickets, superworms, locusts and other large insects.  As with most chameleons the mellers does not tolerate excessive handling.
