Well as of today 3/17/03 I am getting
tired of finishing The "body work"
I wont get cheesy but it is just
so exhausting all the little details to make it perfect.
I am still working on the door
sills, doglegs and adjoining areas in the cab,
Got bored with the same area so
I started on the rear hatch jams, and the side cargo jams
I will post some pictures of those
later this week.so to take a little break from the body work I started
some of the sound deadening
work,here are a couple pictures
of the very rear section.
first layer of "brown bread" on rear roof panel first
layer on rear side panels..This stuff is great to work with!
rear section with both layers ready to undercoat.
first layer of undercoat applied after two coats of "Cascade" V-Blok sound
killer.
finished sides,Solid as a rock! last picture kinda sucks!..
Man all I can say is it is going to be PRICEY to get this bus rattle
free and quite,
Here is what all will be done to SILENCE my bus,
The whole inside will be treated to TWO layers of "BROWN BREAD" sound
mat,
Two thick layers of "CASCADE" V-BLOK liquid sound killer,
Two heavy coats of "plasti cote" spray on bedliner/undercoat!
So far just on the back half of the bus i have 10 sheets of "brown
bread",1/2 gallon of "cascade" and eight cans of "bedliner"!!
But let me tell you It is very, VERY solid when finished. From the outside
it sounds like my bus is made out of 1/4 steel!
i will finish the other half of the rear next week when i get some
more "brown bread" I had to order more already!
