The
bus has been at the body shop for four weeks as of 2/13/03
They
are getting the whole bus ready for paint ,Which I will do my self at a
later time
All
of the body work was done localy by "HAVASU AUTO BODY"
The
crew there is excellent, Fred (owner) has been a freind of the families
for years
His
son Jeff (owner of JEFSKIS REPAIR) worked on it as well this has
been my first time working with jeff personally
He
is a great guy as well,
They
are going to sand and prime the bus in a polyester resin primer,
I had
the front signals and upper vents SHAVED!much better look along with realigning
all the doors ,
they
pounded out the little dings there were blocked the body and primed it,
Then
blocked it again, and agin primed it!
It
is now straight as could ever be!
First coat of "blocking"primer with guide coat..Notice lack of turn
signals...Nice side shot
Most of the rear corner was "pounded" out the old skool way..That is
one straight side shot!..The bus is out of the botth ready for first blocking
A couple good side views..Note those arent dents on the bottom of cargo
doors just a funky pattern of giude coat
First "block sanding done..Looking better and better each time..Side
view..
Notice how nicely the doors line up!..the front after first block with
second guide coat..The roof is sooo nice!!
Drivers side after first blocking,,,
Well I should have it out of the body shop this
week. When it gets home the first thing i am doing is stripping out ALL
of the
wiring. Then i am lining the entire roof side
and floors with "Brown Bread" acoustic sound deadner,After entrie roof
and sides are lined
I am spraying three gallons of "CASCADE" spray
on sound killer,It also has a very nice texture Just like spray in bedliner.
When this is all done it should be soooo nice
and quite inside.
I will update with pictures during the process
