On these pages I
will show progress of my new 66' single door panel bus.
Being a major Hotwheels
collector I had had enough of being broke from my "addiction" so I decided
to sell my entire
collection.After
just two days of advertiseing I found a buyer he drove down that weekend
and picked them up,Being that all of my VW diecast was my true pride in
the collection i didnt sell any of it . so with the hotwheels gone and
money for a project
It was time to search
for the perfect bus I searched for weeks on "The
Samba"
Finally i found it
a real nice 66 panel after a couple of weeks of planning it was final the
bus would be mine!
Being an Upholsterer
By trade This is going to be a VERY fun project It will showcase some of
my ideas and skills
pureists wont like
me when its done but I gotta do what I gotta do!
It started on January
4th,2003 when we traveled to Sacramento California from Lake Havasu City
,Arizona
What a journey that
was!
The first stepwas
to strip it bare for sand blasting!
Stripped bare all the window rubber, lights and seals GONE!!
donor deck lid...Clean Motor 1776 runs REAL good(but just wait)..Nice
side shot!
Mildly Lowered with a wolfgang kit(that will change) Interior a little
rough(hehehe)..Alot of space to play!!
